What We Do

Take 2

Take 2 is a design management company with a very simple but important goal: to help you reimagine, design and create your home into a space you’ll love for years to come. We begin by looking beyond what a room currently is and seeing the potential of what it could be. As part of the Take 2 philosophy, wherever and whenever it feels right, we like to give upcycled, recycled, refurbished, or vintage pieces an opportunity for their Take 2 and find a special place for them in your home.

Our Approach

Our approach is simple. We always start by listening and asking a ton of questions. When designing a space for you and your family – we need to get to know you and what your needs are, how you live, what you love or hate about your space and how you are currently living in it. We want your home to be one that you love not just now, but for years to come, so we work hard to anticipate needs within the space, and future proof it for life’s next steps as much as we can. We want our clients to feel supported in every possible way, so we can also recommend trades we have worked with in the past. No more waiting for contractors to call you back! And of course, we are fully versed in “construction speak”, allowing us to advocate for your creative ideas, budget and timeline.

1. Design Boards

Design boards are where you first start to see your new home come to life. This visual tool brings all the finish selections to one place, so you get a sense of color and scale. These boards include the products we’ve sourced for your home, along with all the information you need to help make your decisions (i.e., size, colour, price).

2. Plans

Plans are our best tool to communicate your dreams to the expert trades working in your home. These will be meticulously detailed with all the information needed to turn a vision into a reality.

3. Elevations

Elevations are where you’ll see a new level of detail in your design as well as what it looks like from a new viewpoint, like the front and side. The information shown on an elevation drawing will give you the chance to make small adjustments to the design before anything is built or ordered. Every detail needed for craftsmen to build to your exact specifications is also included in these drawings.

4. Renderings

Renderings are the first time you will get to “see” your new space. No more guesswork or trying to imagine what the space will look like. We’ll provide you photorealistic images that will help you visualize your choices and see the end result.
